Best Ever Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients
  • 8 oz. sweetened chocolate
  • 1 oz. unsweetened chocolate
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 4 T. sugar
  • 4 T. milk
  • 2 c. heavy cream
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 3 oz. pkg. Ladyfingers (24 unfilled)
  • Fresh strawberries or raspberries for garnish
Instructions
  1. Melt chocolate in double boiler.
  2. Beat egg yolks.
  3. Add sugar and blend well with eggs.
  4. Add milk to chocolate mixture.
  5. Gradually add egg mixture into the chocolate mixture. Blend well.
  6. In clean bowl, beat egg whites with clean beaters until stiff and shiny.
  7. Beat heavy cream and vanilla until stiff.
  8. Fold egg whites into chocolate mixture. Then fold this into whipped cream.
  9. Prepare springform pan (8”) with ladyfingers around edge.
  10. Pour mixture into mold and chill for at least 3 hours.
  11. Unmold and cut into wedges and garnish with berries
  12. You can skip steps 8 and 9 and put mixture into individual mousse dishes.
