Grilled Stuffed Jalapeños
- 24 fresh jalapeno peppers
- ¾ lb. bulk pure pork sausage
- 12 good quality bacon slices, halved
- Wooden toothpicks, soaked in water
- Wash peppers. Cut slit along one side of each pepper.
- Remove seeds, rinse and dry peppers.
- In skillet, cook sausage until no longer pink. Season with salt and pepper.
- Drain on paper towel.
- Stuff peppers with sausage and wrap with ½ slice of bacon and secure with toothpick.
- Grill peppers, uncovered, turning frequently, until tender and bacon is crispy, about 12-15 minutes.
*****You can add grated cheese to the cooked sausage if desired.
