Teacup’s German Chocolate Pie
- 1 (4-oz.) pkg. German Sweet Chocolate Squares
- 1⅔ c. evaporated milk
- 3 T. cornstarch
- 2 eggs
- 1 unbaked 9” pie shell
- 1⅓ c. coconut
- ¼ c. butter
- 1 ½ c. sugar
- ⅛ t. salt
- 1 t. vanilla
- ½ c. chopped pecans
- Melt chocolate in a saucepan. Blend in milk.
- Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt, set aside.
- Beat eggs and vanilla and add to the sugar mixture. Mix well.
- Gradually blend in chocolate mixture to the sugar mixture.
- Pour into pie shell.
- Combine coconut and pecans. Sprinkle over top of pie.
- Bake 375 for 45 minutes until puffed and brown.
- Filling will be soft but will set with cooling.
- Cool at least 4 hours before serving.
*****Serve with whipped cream, cool whip or ice cream. This is my mother-in-law’s recipe. It is sooooo good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
