Crispy French Toast Bites
Recipe By:
  • 1 lb. loaf of sturdy artisan-style bread
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 T. vanilla
  • 1 t. ground cinnamon
  • butter
  1. Cut bread into 1” thick slices; trim crusts; cut bread into 1” cubes.
  2. In bowl, beat eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon.
  3. Add 2 c. of bread cubes and mix to saturate.
  4. Lightly butter a 12” nonstick frying pan.
  5. Place pan over medium heat.
  6. Lift cubes from mixture, shaking off excess liquid.
  7. Add cubes to hot pan and cook, turning as needed, until golden brown. Keep warm.
  8. Repeat and soak and cook remaining cubes.
