1 (24-oz.) jar of good quality Marinara Sauce or homemade
Black pepper
Freshly grated parmesan cheese
Fresh basil, rough chop
Instructions
Boil the gnocchi following directions on the package. I usually add about 1-2 T. olive oil to my boiling water as well as salt.
Drain gnocchi and place back in pot.
Add the marinara sauce and heat over low. Stir gently to mix.
Season to taste.
Place in serving dish and top with fresh basil and grated cheese, optional.
Notes
*****I found the gnocchi at Rouse’s in Lafayette, LA. It was a nice change from regular gnocchi. The sweetness of the gnocchi along with the tanginess of the marinara was a hit.
