Garlic powder, salt, paprika, black pepper to taste
2-3 (6 oz.) cans water-packed tuna, drained and flaked
PAM
6 onion rolls
2 T. Miracle Whip or Mayo
1 T. creole mustard
1 T. prepared horseradish
2 t. catsup
2 c. alfalfa sprouts or slaw
6 (1-oz.) sliced of your favorite cheese
6 slices of tomato
Tartar sauce, optional
Instructions
Tear whole wheat bread into small pieces and place in a bowl. Drizzle milk over bread.
Add the 1 T. catsup, 1 T. creole mustard, shallot, green onion and seasoning. Mix well.
Add tuna and combine.
Shape into 6 patties. Spray PAM on broiler rack and place patties on top. Broil 6 inches from heat 2-5 minutes on each side or until lightly browned. Set aside.
Split onion rolls. Combine Miracle Whip, mustard, catsup and stir well. At this point you can substitute store-bought or homemade tartar sauce. Spread your choice on cut sides of rolls.
Place some alfalfa sprouts or slaw on bottom of roll. Top with tuna patty and your cheese choice.
Place onion roll tops and sandwich bottoms on baking sheet. Broil 6 inches from heat for 30 seconds to 1 minute or until roll tops are lightly browned and cheese melts.
Top each patty with tomato slice. Cover with roll top. Serve immediately.
