Alice's Easy Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream and Other Flavors

Recipe type: Chocolate Ice Cream
- ½ lb. semisweet chocolate, cut into pieces
- 2 c. milk
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 pt. light cream
- 1 T. vanilla
- ⅛ t. salt
- Put chocolate and milk in pan and cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until melted, about 20 minutes.
- Beat eggs in bowl, slowly adding the sugar.
- Add the cream, vanilla, salt and mix well. Stir in chocolate mixture and chill.
- Place in ice cream machine and freeze.
