Beer Brisket Sandwiches

Ingredients
  • 1 (3-4 lb.) fresh beef brisket
  • 2 large Vidalia onions, sliced
  • 1 (12-oz.) can beer, try not to use “LITE”
  • ½ c. chili sauce
  • Steak seasoning, salt, black pepper
  • 10 whole wheat buns, split and toasted
Instructions
  1. Trim fat from brisket and so that it can fit in the 4 qt. crock pot.
  2. Place onions in bottom of cooker.
  3. Season the meat lightly with salt and black pepper.
  4. In bowl, combine beet, chili sauce and steak seasoning. Pour this mixture over meat and onions.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 10-12 hours or on HIGH for 5-6 hours.
  6. Transfer meat to cutting board, reserving liquid in pot.
  7. Thinly slice meat across grain. Place meat on bottom of buns.
  8. With slotted spoon, remove onion and place to top of meat on buns.
  9. Drizzle some juice on top. Place the juice in a serving dish on the side if guests choose to use more of the juice on sandwich. Place top of bun on sandwich and serve.
