Ingredients
  • 1 lb. large whole, firm strawberries
  • 1 (8-oz.) container of soft cream cheese
  • 4 T. powdered sugar
  • 1 t. almond extract
  • Graham cracker crumbs or chocolate sprinkles
  • Chocolate dipping sauce, store-bought or home-made
Instructions
  1. Clean strawberries. Cut around the top and remove stem and make a hollow middle. Some strawberries are already sort of hollow in center. Do not cut all the way down, about ½ way. Set strawberries aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sugar and extract and beat until creamy.
  3. Place this mixture into a piping bag or a Ziploc bag and snip the corner to squeeze the mixture out.
  4. Fill strawberry centers with the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Dip the filled end into the crushed graham crackers or chocolate sprinkles or both.
  6. Place on your serving platter and refrigerate for about 1 hour.
  7. Serve with your favorite chocolate dipping sauce or along with pound cake.
Notes
*****Depending on how sweet your strawberries are you can adjust the amount of sugar to put into the cream cheese mixture. If you prefer it not to be too sweet, reduce the powdered sugar by 1 T.
