Ingredients
  • 5 lbs. of lean ground beef, at room temperature
  • 1 (16-oz.) container chopped onion mix
  • Salt, black pepper, garlic powder
  • 1-2 large vidalia onions, thinly sliced
  • Optional: Sliced Cheese
  • Hamburger buns
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Pickles or pickle relish
  • Mayo, mustard, catsup
Instructions
  1. Take the ground beef that has been at room temperature and place in large bowl.
  2. Add the onion mix and seasonings.
  3. Mix well. Do not overwork the meat.
  4. Form the patties.
  5. I like to wrap each patty in saran wrap and then place them in gallon size zip lock bags and freeze.
  6. I remove the number of patties I need to serve and let defrost.
  7. Place patties in hot skillet (no added oil).
  8. Add onions to skillet and sauté as you finish cooking the patties.
Notes
*****You can add sliced cheese if you like. Garnish with tomatoes, lettuce, onions, pickles, mayo, mustard, ketchup.
