Arrange 4 asparagus spears on a flat surface. Thread two (3”) skewers horizontally through spears 1” from each end to form a raft. Repeat with remaining asparagus.
Combine soy sauce, oil and garlic.
Brush evenly over rafts.
Grill 3 minutes per side or until crisp-tender.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add sesame seeds.
Notes
*****If you are using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 15 minutes before using. This keeps them from burning on the grill. A nice dipping sauce or squeeze of fresh lemon goes well with these rafts.
