Creamy Bacon Potato Chowder
Creamy Bacon Potato Chowder
Recipe By:

  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 large Vidalia onion, chopped
  • 4 (10 ¾-oz.) cans condensed cream of potato soup
  • 4 soup cans of milk
  • Salt/black pepper, to taste
  • 2 large russet potatoes, cut into ½” pieces
  • ½ c. chopped chives
  • 1 c. shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 c. shredded Gouda cheese

  1. In a 6 qt. crock pot/slow cooker, add the bacon, onion, soup, milk, potatoes, ¼ c. of chives and some salt and black pepper. Mix well. You can add more for additional seasoning.
  2. Cover and cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours or until potatoes are tender.
  3. Add cheese and stir until melted and taste for seasoning.
  4. Garnish with remaining chives.
